HEARTS & HANDS TOY DRIVE

Bringing Holiday Magic

to Local Children

What began as a simple act of kindness has grown into one of Team Rudd Foundation’s signature traditions — collecting toys, gifts, and holiday hope for local children through the Middlesex Department of Child Protection & Permanency.

More Than a Toy Drive

Hearts & Hands is more than a holiday collection.

It is a community tradition built on compassion, generosity, and the belief that every child deserves to feel remembered during the holiday season.

Each year, Team Rudd Foundation collects new toys, gifts, gift cards, and holiday items for local children through the Middlesex Department of Child Protection & Permanency.

Every donation — whether it is one toy, one gift card, one collection box, or one person sharing the mission — helps bring joy, dignity, and holiday magic to children and young people in our community.

One act of kindness can become someone’s Christmas morning.

Hearts & Hands began with one question.

After Scott and David learned there were local children who might wake up on Christmas morning without gifts, they knew they had to do something.

The first toy drive was small, simple, and built completely on hope. A few local businesses agreed to host collection boxes. Friends, family, clients, and neighbors helped spread the word.

That first year, about 200 toys were collected for children served through the Department of Child Protection & Permanency.

It may have started with a few boxes.

But it became the first ripple.

The First Ripple

How Hearts & Hands Works

Every year, Hearts & Hands brings together local businesses, schools, families, volunteers, and community partners to help collect holiday gifts for local children and young people.

It works because people say yes.

The Four Gifts of Giving

The Gift of Gathering

Host a Collection Box

Open your business, school, office, or community space to become part of the tradition. Hosting a Hearts & Hands collection box helps bring the toy drive directly into the community.

There are many ways to help Hearts & Hands grow.
Whether you give, gather, serve, or share, each act of kindness becomes part of the ripple.

The Gift of Giving

Donate Toys, Gifts,
or Gift Cards

Every donation helps brighten the season for local children and young people. Toys, gift cards, clothing, and holiday items all help bring comfort, joy, and celebration.

The Gift of Sharing

Spread the Word

Not everyone can donate a toy — but everyone can help the mission grow. Sharing our flyers, wish lists, collection locations, and posts helps more people join Hearts & Hands.

Four simple gifts. One powerful ripple.

The Gift of Helping

Volunteer Your Time

From setting up collection boxes to sorting donations and helping behind the scenes, volunteers make the magic possible. Giving your time is one of the most meaningful gifts of all.

Thank You to Our Toy Drive Elves

Hearts & Hands has grown because people, businesses, schools, organizations, families, volunteers, and community partners have continued to say yes.

Every collection box hosted, every flyer shared, every toy donated, every gift card given, every bag sorted, and every helping hand has helped bring holiday magic to local children.

These are the Toy Drive Elves who have helped make the ripple grow.

Help Bring Holiday Magic to Local Children

“When a child has nothing, something is everything.”
— Scott Rudd, Founder

Hearts & Hands is powered by people who choose to care.

From businesses that host collection boxes, to families who donate toys, to volunteers who help sort and deliver, every act of kindness becomes part of something bigger.

Because of this community, local children and young people served through the Middlesex Department of Child Protection & Permanency are reminded that they are seen, supported, and remembered.

If you would like to be part of this year’s Hearts & Hands Toy Drive, we would love to hear from you.
